Campgrounds and RV Spots for Kansas City Speedway Racing Fans

Rather than sweating it out in the stands, you can enjoy the race with all the comforts an RV provides. You have the pick of three camping tiers. Also, all vehicles must fit within the 20’ x 45’ space. The three available camping locations are the GEICO Reserved Infield, GEICO Tent Camping, and GEICO Terraces. GEICO Reserved Infield

Want to be close and personal with the race? Then you are going to have a hard time getting a spot better than the GEICO Reserved Infield at the Kansas City Speedway. The RV camping spots are located at the center of the Speedway and are divided into two areas: The Speedway Club and The Front Runners Club. You must reserve in advance by contacting a camping specialist. You will receive two camping wristbands with each spot but can purchase up to 8 additional wristbands. Youth wristbands for those 12 and under receive a discount during Spring and Fall weekends.

You may also add on a single additional vehicle for an added fee of $100. The RV reservation spot is for self-driven vehicles. That means if you are using a fifth wheel or travel trailer, then you must purchase an add-on vehicle pass for the towing vehicle. Keep in mind, there are no electrical or water hook-ups, so you must have your own water and tank for wastewater. Unfortunately, no pets are not allowed, so you will have to keep your furry friends at home.

GEICO Tent Camping

While the tent camping space is not for large recreational vehicles, it does offer a single-vehicle space per tent camping spot. You can stay close to the action and get out of the stands nearby to catch the action with a GEICO Tent Camping Spot. There are a limited number of spaces, so make sure to reserve ahead of time. The tent camping spots are located behind the Martinsville campground near Turn 1. You will also have convenient access to the showers near the Turn 1 grandstands. Like the GEICO Reserved Infield, there are no water or electrical hook-ups.

GEICO Terrace

If you want to truly get the best views on the entire Speedway, then you will want to consider reserving a spot on the GEICO Terraces. You have your pick between three different terrace locations located on the backstretch of the Speedway, Turn 1, Turn 3, and Turn 4. These are highly-exclusive RV camping areas and spots are much more limited compared to the other camping locations. Spots must be purchased in advance, so make sure to contact a camping specialist at www.Kansasspeedway.com. Keep in mind that all motor homes must be self-driven, and you will need your own self-contained water and holding tank for wastewater. Certain spots like Turn 3 Terrace provide 50-amp electric hook-up.
