Places To Camp In And Around The Festival
RV parks with full hookups are hard to find close to the Jazz Aspen Snowmass festival, so campers have the choice to stay at one of the RV Parks listed below and plan for extra travel time or try their hand at dry camping in some of the beautiful nearby Aspen and Snowmass Village campgrounds. (Be advised Aspen is approximately 20 minutes away from Snowmass Village and there is a shuttle service running between the two towns.) Keep in mind that the town of Aspen does not allow overnight RV parking. If you plan on trying your hand at dry camping in some of the nearby campgrounds, remember that vehicles over 35 feet are prohibited from traveling over Independence Pass.

Transportation From Carbondale & Glenwood Springs To Jazz Aspen Snowmass Music Festival
Carbondale is approximately 50 minutes from the JAS Music Festival, while Glenwood Springs is approximately 70 minutes away. If you stay in one of these towns you have a few options for transportation to the festival.
- Drive up and park at the Intercept Lot, located at the intersection of Highway 82 and Brush Creek Road, then take an event shuttle to the venue.
- Take an RFTA bus from Carbondale to the event. If you’re staying in Glenwood Springs, you’ll have to drive to Carbondale and catch the bus there, which is approximately a 25-minute drive. View RFTA bus schedules here.
RV Camping For Jazz Aspen Snowmass Music Festival – No Hookups
RV camping without hookups or sewer is commonly referred to as dry camping. Dry camping for the Jazz Aspen Snowmass music festival might mean roughing it a little more than you had planned, but you’ll be much closer to the music venue and you’ll experience some of the most beautiful and serene campgrounds that you could hope to find in the United States.
If you’re renting an RV and plan on dry camping, be sure to ask for an overview of the black and grey water tanks as well as the battery power. Knowing how these systems work and some tips on conserving water and power will allow you to still enjoy the comfort that an RV offers while dry camping. Only 5 miles southeast of Aspen, this campground offers 47 standard sites. This campground can be accessed via Independence Pass or Aspen. Every campground offers picnic tables, campfire rings, and drinking water. Vault toilets are available and firewood is available for purchase. Be advised that campground radius turns are tight for larger RVs.
Enjoy the iconic Maroon Bells scenery. Be sure to make reservations in advance and be advised trailers up to 30 feet are allowed. Fire pits, drinking water, picnic tables, and vault toilets are all available.

It is recommended that festival-goers take advantage of alternative transportation methods such as buses and shuttles. Parking is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Gold pass members can enjoy VIP parking at the Rodeo Lot by the event. Silver VIP and Gold SRO ticket holders can park at the Two Creeks Parking Lot. General Admission can park at the Intercept Lot located at the intersection of Highway 82 and Brush Creek Road. Regularly running shuttles will drop you off at the Snowmass Village Town Center.

A quick drive away from the breathtaking Grand Tetons National Park, Jackson is the perfect continuation from one amazing mountain town to another. Morrison, CO
Leaving Snowmass, head east on I-70 into the foothills of the Rockies for a unique little town that’s home to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater. The tunes don’t have to stop at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass festival, because the Red Rocks concert season goes into October. Check out the 2022 lineup here. The nearest campground is the Indian Paintbrush Campground at just ten minutes away from the amphitheater.
