Glass bottles and grills are not allowed in the festival parking lots, so you might need to plan your eating arrangements. Tickets are also restricted to a maximum of six per person making the reservation.

Some of the best places to see the blossoms are in Dumbarton Oaks. You’ll find excellent restaurants, too, and some great bars and clubs downtown. Leave your RV in a campground like Cherryhill Park, explore the city on foot, or use the excellent public transportation system.

Experience History in Fredericksburg

There’s a lot of history in and around Fredericksburg, making it an interesting place to explore on your way to the M3 Rock Festival. Visit the Civil War battle sites in the National Memorial Park or learn about the American Revolutionary War connections at Chatham Manor. You can also go on a ghost tour. The city is one of the most haunted in America. You’ll find lots of historic buildings from the place where George Washington grew up to an old Apothecary Shop. There are lots of places to go walking, too. Book your RV into a campground like KOA Fredericksburg, located in the heart of the Civil War battlegrounds.

Stop Off in Columbus

Although you are heading to Columbia to the M3 Rock Festival, Columbus, Ohio, is worth a detour on your journey. You can explore the Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens or walk the SCOSI Mile around the city. Columbus has lots of great bars, restaurants, and shopping malls. Check out the Columbus Museum of Art or the Pizzuti Collection. Find time to appreciate the heritage in German Village, learn about the unique culture, and taste the food.

Visit Philly

Philadelphia is one of the best cities to visit if you love the performing arts. It is rich in jazz, rock, and dance, so there are plenty of concert venues to keep you entertained. Head to the Avenue of the Arts, otherwise known as Broad Street, for theaters and dance venues. Don’t forget to see the Liberty Bell and pose with the famous Rocky statue. Independence Hall is where the Declaration of Independence was made. And if you’re looking for something to eat, grab an iconic Philly Cheesesteak. Reading Terminal Market is another wonderful place to find all kinds of food.

Check Out Fayetteville

Fayetteville in North Carolina is an interesting place to stop, especially for those who like military history. The Airborne and Special Operations Museum is a must-see, and you can also pause for thought at the Veteran’s Memorial. Learn more about the region at the Museum of Cape Fear. You’ll find walking trails, too, including at Lake Rim Park. The area around Fayetteville is known for vineyards, so stop off and check out the wineries. You’ll find plenty of good campgrounds in and around Fayetteville.
