So, there are a few rules for your stay. One specifically is worth pointing out, and that is that pets are not allowed in Harmony Park. Local boarding is available while you enjoy the festival or you may choose to stay at a nearby campground.

Also, there are no vehicles allowed on the park grounds. If you go RVing, there is a large parking lot available where you can park your rig, but if you plan to camp on the grounds, gear needs to be hauled in by foot. Suggestions are to bring a wagon and transport your gear or hike it in by backpack.

The park is the setting for Laura Ingalls Wilder’s “Little House on the Prairie,” and it is where she lived from 1868 until she died in 1957.

Village of Yesteryear: The Village of Yesteryear is an open-air museum that features 12 buildings full of antiques that represent both the architecture and furnishings of a typical 19th-century New England village.
