Ultimate Guide to RVing at Stagecoach Festival

Where: Coachella Valley, CA

When: April 28 – April 30, 2023

Headliners: Luke Bryan, Kane Brown, Chris Stapleton

Get your cowboy hat and boots ready— Stagecoach is back!

Despite its headliners and performances in roots rock, blue grass, folk, and country music, classifying Stagecoach Festival as a music festival isn’t entirely correct. It’s so much more than that! Stagecoach is not only one of the most extravagant country music festivals in the world, it’s also possibly one of the US’s largest cookouts!

Stagecoach was founded in 2007 by the creator of Coachella. The vision was to celebrate country music’s hottest acts while bringing people together like a traditional neighborhood fiesta. Only much, much bigger.

In addition to the legendary performances on stage, Stagecoach features a food lineup that includes wildly popular local restaurants Jackalope Ranch and Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse. There are BBQ competitions and pavilions keeping everyone fed under the sun, and if that wasn’t enough to impress, the headliner of the cookout is Guy Fieri’s Stagecoach Smokehouse pop-up.

And if that’s still not enough, of course there’s also the ferris wheel, dance hall, marketplace, and Diplo Late Night afterparty to attend.

Stagecoach 2023 will also feature performances by Jon Pardi, Brooks & Dunn, Gabby Barrett, ZZ Top, Elle King, and many more.

Make sure to book your passes now before they sell out!

RVing at Stagecoach Festival 2023

RVing is a quintessential part of the music festival experience, and community, utilities, and accessibility all play a role in why.

Festivals like Stagecoach or Coachella are so meaningful to people not just for the music, but for the camaraderie created in these spaces. When the music ends for the night, the party continues because the people are what makes these events special. Being able to camp amongst others is important to this experience— but it doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg, unlike Airbnbs or festival-sponsored resorts.

Plus, having easy access to a bathroom that isn’t a portapotty and actually comes with a shower is a luxury that can’t be understated in the desert.

Where To Stay

While Stagecoach offers packages that include the cost of RV camping for the weekend at the festival, these packages cost upwards of 3x the amount that non-festival sponsored stays will cost for the weekend. And, they don’t come with amenities like swimming pools, showers, laundry facilities, restrooms, and more. For festival goers’ convenience, buses to the grounds run along a route in town that stops by many of the city’s RV spots.

Palm Springs

The famous spa resort town is a 25 minute drive from Coachella Valley. The spas and hot springs are legendary, as well as the luxurious emerald green golf courses. For a day of pampering (and perhaps a facial to refresh the skin after a weekend in the desert), Palm Springs is a must-visit destination in the Coachella Valley area.

Shields Date Garden

The date cafe in Indio is a beloved hidden gem in the Valley. The 1960s inspired diner serves up all things date-related for snacks and lunch, most famously the date-shake. The date garden itself is set upon 17 acres of palm orchard and botanical garden that visitors are welcome to tour.

Thousand Palms Oasis Preserve

Overlooking Palm Springs is the Thousand Palms Oasis Preserve, every bit as scenic as its name suggests. A true desert oasis, hiking through the park brings you to lagoons surrounded by palm trees and desert wildflowers.

Joshua Tree National Park

A day trip to world famous Joshua Tree National Park is a pilgrimage for any visitor to the West Coast. Miles of sand, joshua trees, and soaring rock formations are less than an hour from Coachella Valley. Best of all, the park is incredibly RV friendly. You can sleep out on the plains, beneath the open night sky. If you’re planning on RVing at Stagecoach Festival, Joshua Tree National Park cannot be missed.

Choosing Your RV Rental

Because we at RVnGO highly recommend saving money by camping off-site, you have freedom of choice in picking out the RV rental that best suits your needs. This way, you won’t have to skimp on size or amenities while RVing at Stagecoach Festival.

Class A RVs are the biggest of the three main classes and are ideal for groups of 4-8 people. They’ll often come equipped with full size appliances and plenty of cooking space in the kitchen, and full size tubs and/or sinks in the bathroom. The master bedroom is big enough to fit a king bed in most cases and still have room to navigate around. If size and quantity of the amenities is what you’re looking for, Class A RVs are second to none.

Class B RVs are the smallest of the three main classes and typically accommodate 2 people. In these cases, the RVs are conversion or Sprinter vans that often feature a sleeping area and small kitchenette with a half bathroom.

Class C RVs are comparable to Class A’s in terms of options, minus the higher price tag. They also feature full-size showers in the bathroom, room for queen beds in the master bedroom, and come with modest kitchens and dining areas. Class C RVs can also fit up to 8 people depending on their layout. If you want an RV that comes with many of the standard options of a Class A but don’t need the full-size luxuries with your budget, consider a Class C.

RVing at Stagecoach Festival is the best way to experience the music, the sights, and the community of Coachella Valley. Because most RVs and RV campgrounds get snatched up months in advance, make sure to book your rentals now with RVnGo. Don’t wait!
