For those looking at RV rentals – or thinking of marketing your RV rental – an RV road trip across the Pacific Northwest is just what is needed.

From majestic mountains to gorgeous coastline to bustling urban cities and lush forests, the Pacific Northwest is one of America’s greatest locations. If you’re planning on an RV road trip anywhere in the United States, the Pacific Northwest (lovingly known as the PNW) should be at the top of the list. So what are the absolute must-go, must-see, and must-stay places for RV travelers throughout the Pacific Northwest? Here’s our Epic Guide to an Epic RV Road Trip through the Pacific Northwest.

Where to Stay On your Route

As you’re taking in the sites from the ocean to the heavily wooded mountains, you’ll need an awesome place to stay in the Pacific Northwest. We found one of the best options in Washington state.

Tall Chief RV & Camping Resort

The Tall Chief RV and Camping Resort, part of the “Trails Collection” in Fall City, Washington. It’s an exceptional spot for those that want to venture into Seattle (only a few miles outside of the city), and the creature comforts in the Resort are exceptional.

Visitors to the Tall Chief can take in the majesty of the Cascade Mountains as they enjoy the “Timber Lodge,” pool, activity room, playground, and much more.

Crescent Bar RV Campground

Another option in Washington state? The Crescent Bar RV Campground in Quincy, Washington. Deeper out into the state, the Crescent Bar campground is a sunny and beautiful spot next to the Columbia River. It’s the perfect spot for anyone venturing into the Pacific Northwest to get out and take in some beach time. Along with the beach, the Crescent Bar RV Campground offers horseshoes, a playground, a swimming pool, and much more.

Whalers Rest RV & Camping Resort

Whalers Campground RVnGO

The next stop through Oregon is Whalers Rest RV & Camping Resort in South Beach. It is an exceptional choice for any RV-goer looking to make a “splash.” It’s only a quick trip walk from the resort to the Pacific Ocean, making it an excellent spot for swimming, adventuring, whale watching, and much more.

Crater Lake RV Park

Also known as the “Prospect RV Park,” this beautiful location offers a quick entrance to the gorgeous Crater Lake National Park and the Rogue River National Forest.  Right on the outside of the Crater Lake National Park, this RV Park is perfect for exploring the nature of Colorado.

This forested RV park is nestled between tall pine, and redwood trees, and with all the hiking, fishing, and kayaking there is always something to do! Enjoy their extra large RV spots, and beautiful scenery next time you visit Oregon!

Wooded and quiet, with plenty of creature comforts in the park (like free wi-fi), Crater Lake RV park is the perfect blend of solitude and comfort.

What to do Along your Journey

So what do we do on our RV Trek across the Pacific Northwest? If you’re camping by Seattle, a trip into the city for a summertime Mariners game (at the gorgeous T-Mobile Park) is a must-do. Don’t forget to try one of the ballpark sandwiches at Paseo, or one of the exceptional craft beers on tap.

Speaking of beers, the entire Pacific Northwest is a beer lover’s haven. Washington, Oregon, and everywhere in between feature some of the best brews in the world – especially the hoppy IPA variants, with many of the ingredients grown in the same region. A beer tour through the PNW is a must.

Oh – and don’t forget about the wine in the PNW. The Pacific Northwest is one of the fastest-growing wine regions in the country. Check out this guide to Pacific Northwest wines, and make this a part of your trip through the region!

Of course, the Pacific Northwest is also a region of unsurpassed natural wonders. Mt. HoodMt. Rainier? The Columbia RiverMount St. Helens? The Pacific Ocean? For those looking to explore the best of nature, the Pacific Northwest is the place to be.
