Kids on the Road
On this segment of the RVers Peter and John from the RV Geeks install a new battery system for Celine and Adam from the RVers Family. When you start off with an RV its easy to boondock for a few days with the battery the RV comes with. However with this small battery you are really only able to run water pumps and lights. For Celine and Adam, they need more power to successfully boondock!
The first step the RV Geeks take to build the family a new power system is to find out their amp hour usage. By auditing the amount of power the family uses every day, the RV Geeks are able to find out what size battery bank is right for them.
The RV Geeks then move on to installation. The battery bank they use from Battle Born Batteries and needs to be charged. By using solar panels to charge the battery bank the family is able to not only have power in the bank but refresh it while using the supply! The RV Geeks also install a few other devices which convert the solar to the battery to the electrical outlets. The secondary devices are the inverter, and a solar charge controller.
Winterproofing your RV
Skirting your RV has never been more efficient! Custom Skirting RV skirts allows you to be more efficient than ever. In the winter months it’s more important than ever to build up protection from the elements in your RV.
The more traditional way of skirting called snap skirting allows for unwanted airflow on the underneath of your RV. The common DIY plywood skirting is expensive, hard to transport and is hard to install without your own heavy duty power tools. The main goal of any RV skirting is to protect the underside of your RV from excess airflow and be easily transportable.
With Custom Skirting, you get the best skirting on the market. Their patented channel system creates a water and windproof barrier while also being easily transportable. This custom RV work is located in South Dakota and lets you stay at their beautiful RV Park for free while they create a custom skirt for your RV.
When you have a quality custom skirt, you not only protect your RV parts from the cold elements but also conserve energy. A custom skirt can save you in electrical, generator, and gas prices when you do it correctly with Custom Skirting.
