NASCAR Xfinity Racetrack Camping
RV camping and parking options are available at nearby racetracks hosting the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Prices and camping locations will differ from speedway to speedway. However, keep in mind that RV parking and camping tickets are usually separate from entry.
Each track will have its own rules and regulations restricting what you can do at your campsite and which RVs are allowed. Many campsites have length limits allowing RVs and trailers up to 40 ft in length. To make sure the RV you are considering renting fits the campsite at a particular raceway, check out that speedway’s rules beforehand.
RV Camping
You should reserve your camping spot well ahead of time to avoid missing out. Many campsites sell out weeks before the race. You can click on the event name in the schedule table above to go to the official website and reserve your camping spot.
Electric vs. Non-Electric
The most common campground types you will come across will be electric vs. non-electric sites. Some sites may include water hook-ups in addition to electric hook-ups. Electric hookups are convenient because they provide a reliable source of power for your RV. However, they can be more expensive than non-electric hookups, and they may not be available at all campsites.
Gravel vs. Paved
Most RVers prefer either gravel or paved campsites. There are pros and cons to both, so it comes down to what you value most in a campsite. Here, we’ll weigh the pros and cons of each so you can make an informed decision for yourself.
Gravel sites are typically more affordable than paved sites. They also tend to be more spacious, giving you more room to spread out and enjoy your surroundings. On the downside, gravel sites can be dusty and difficult to keep clean. They can also be hard on your RV’s tires.
Paved sites are easier to keep clean and are typically less dusty than gravel sites. They also offer a smoother ride for your RV. However, paved sites can be more expensive than gravel sites and they can sometimes be more crowded. There are also sometimes grass camping spots.
RV Camping Amenities
Common amenities at speedways and racetracks include:
- Ice
- Water Hook-ups
- Electrical Hook-ups
- Showers
- Porta-johns
- Water/fill Station
- Picnic tables
- Shuttle service
The amenities available for your RV campsite will depend on the speedway and which tier of ticket you purchase. Many racetracks have premium RV passes and more expensive options for those looking for a more unique and luxurious experience.
Nearby RV Campgrounds
If RV parking and campsites are sold out at a particular raceway, then you may be able to find a nearby campground instead. There can be multiple campgrounds at State Parks and RV resorts nearby the action. Even though you will have to drive to the races in the morning, you will still save money with an RV rental versus a hotel and ridesharing or renting a car.
If you enjoy experiencing the great outdoors, then RV camping at a nearby park can get you the best of both worlds. Keep in mind that some sites may be dry camping and not have electrical or water hook-ups.
