Yacht Haven Park and Marina

One of the closest RV resorts to downtown Fort Lauderdale and the beaches is Yacht Haven Park and Marina. The park has been newly refurbished, with astroturf and paved spaces for its individual sites. Plus, you can camp by the water with one of its numerous waterfront spaces on the South Fork New River.

In addition to the newly remodeled campsites, you can also take advantage of the swimming pool and its adjacent recreation area for cornhole or ping pong. The park’s other amenities include bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities.

And if you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, or a quick snack, but don’t feel like cooking, the park has you covered. Yacht Haven’s food truck is always around to serve up a hot meal!

C.B. Smith Park

A quiet respite from the excitement of Fort Lauderdale is only 30 minutes away in Pembroke pines. C.B. Smith Park is on the smaller side of mid-size resorts with a little over 80 campsites. Because of this, it’s a great option for those that are looking for a more tranquil camping experience.

The lush, grassy area of the park is surrounded on all sides by lake water. Although the grounds aren’t as flashy as any neighboring luxury resorts, they’re every bit as well kept and inviting.

C.B. Smith Park’s amenities include tennis courts, walking trails, lakefront views, and shower/laundry facilities. Despite its peaceful atmosphere, the park is located near many shops and restaurants in Pembroke Pines.

Topeekeegee Yugnee Park / Whispering Pines

Topeekeegee Yugnee Park is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike! This urban gem is located in Emerald Hills, just outside of Hollywood, Florida. The public park is home to many biking trails, large swaths of grass, and even a small water park!

The RV park at Topeekeegee is situated in the back corner of the grounds, and offers privacy despite its proximity to the public area. With lake access for fishing and waterfront views from your campsite, Topeekeegee Yugnee is another tranquil pocket of nature within southern Florida’s popular cities.

As a caveat, taller RVs may be difficult to maneuver within the park due to the low tree cover around the entrance. Be sure to inquire beforehand on their website if you’re unsure whether or not your RV will fit.

Easterlin Park

Surrounded on all sides by lush trees, waterways, and wildlife, you would never know that Easterlin Park was located so centrally in Oakland Park. This RV resort is a hidden gem— quite literally— tucked away from the bustle of the city around it.

The campsites as well as the park itself are incredibly private and spacious. Palm trees and brush surround individual sites to provide shelter from the Florida sun. And likewise, the park is well covered from the highway and roads nearby.

Easterlin Park supports full electric hookups. It has restrooms and shower access, but no laundry services on site. Its amenities include horseshoe and disc golf courts, walking trails, and beautiful grass plains to relax on by the pond.

Aztec RV Resort

Although Aztec RV Resort is 40 minutes away from Fort Lauderdale, its many amenities and sprawling grounds still make the list. However, it is important to note that this resort specifically accommodates Class A vehicles.

There are hundreds of individual campsites available at Aztec RV Resort. Keeping in mind the size of Class A RVs, each is spacious and well appointed. The manicured grounds contain two swimming pools, a putting green, pickleball and tennis courts, and so much more!
