The 2022 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Championship race will be held at the Phoenix Raceway in Arizona. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Championship is a professional stock car racing series that is sanctioned by NASCAR. It is one of three national touring series that are owned and operated by NASCAR. The series began in 1995 as the SuperTruck Series presented by Craftsman, and it was renamed the Camping World Truck Series in 2009.

Race Day Upgrades

The Phoenix Raceway in Arizona is one of the most popular racing venues in the United States. The track is home to NASCAR, IndyCar, and other racing series, and it hosts races throughout the year. How to Get to The Phoenix Raceway

The Phoenix Raceway is in Avondale, Arizona. Directions are simple to follow. Once there, may sure to follow the signs and directions to get your vehicle to your camping spot.

From the North:

Take I-17 South to Exit 215 for McDowell Road. Turn left onto McDowell Road and continue for approximately 1 mile. Turn right onto N Pima Road and continue for 3.5 miles. Turn left onto W McDowell Road and continue for 2 miles. Turn right onto S Avondale Blvd and continue for 1.2 miles. The Phoenix Raceway will be on your right.

From the South:

Take I-10 East to Exit 135 for AZ-51 North toward Phoenix. Merge onto AZ-51 North and continue for approximately 12 miles. Use the right lane to take Exit 7 for McDowell Road. Turn right onto W McDowell Road and continue for 1.4 miles. Turn left onto S Avondale Blvd and continue for 1.2 miles. The Phoenix Raceway will be on your left.

Camping at the Phoenix Raceway

Phoenix Raceway is a great place to go camping! There are plenty of campsites to choose from, and the raceway offers a variety of activities to keep you busy. Campsites are currently sold out for the 2022 NACAR Camping World Truck Series Championship at Phoenix Raceway. However, we have 25 camping spots for those who rent an RV through RVnGO. You can watch the races, go hiking, or even take a dip in the pool. Make sure to bring plenty of water and sunscreen. Second, the campsites can fill up quickly, so it’s a good idea to make a reservation in advance. All RV campsites are dirt and will be one of the three following sizes: 20ft x 40ft, 20ft x 50ft, and 25ft x 50ft. The campsites at the Phoenix Raceway include:

GEICO Gecko Dunes North

GEICO Gecko Sunset

Price: $200

Lot Size: 20ft x 50ft

Similar to Dunes North campground. Available on-site convenience store with ice, snacks, and more. Large dirt surface lot with plenty of activities for the whole family like the weekend race party. Pedal party also available for a fun ride bike ride around the track.

GEICO Gecko Dunes South

Price: $150

Lot Size: 25ft x 50ft

Similar to other Dunes campgrounds. Available on-site convenience store with ice, snacks, and more. Large dirt surface lot with plenty of activities for the whole family like the weekend race party. Pedal party also available for a fun ride bike ride around the track.

GEICO Gecko Flats

Price: $200 – $275

Lot Size: 20ft x 40ft

Similar to Dunes North campground. Available on-site convenience store with ice, snacks, and more. Large dirt surface lot with plenty of activities for the whole family like the weekend race party. Pedal party also available for a fun ride bike ride around the track. Mid-week mixer hosted for camping attendants.

GEICO Gecko Trails

Price: $225 – $250

Lot Size: 25ft x 50ft

Similar to Dunes North campground. Available on-site convenience store with ice, snacks, and more. Large dirt surface lot with plenty of activities for the whole family like the weekend race party. Pedal party also available for a fun ride bike ride around the track. Mid-week mixer hosted for camping attendants.

Glamping Experience

There are also Glamping Experience tickets for the Gecko Trails. RV parking must be reserved; however, you will not need to camp in your vehicle. The Glamping tickets come with a large premium glamping tent with up to 4 twin beds or 2 queen beds available. Tickets for the Glamping start at $899.

Keep in mind that entry tickets and camping tickets are separate. Make sure to purchase both tickets to enjoy the races and bring your RV. Currently, RV spots are sold out at the Phoenix Raceway for the 2022 Camping World Truck Series Championship. However, you can sign up to be contacted if any spots open.
